What is it?
As part of the forthcoming Oxford Jazz Festival 2009, we are organising a competition for amateur local school jazz musicians. The day-long event will take place on Friday 10th April (Good Friday) in the stunning setting of St Hugh's College, Oxford - between 10.30am and 5.00pm. The competition will be attended by fellow students, parents, families of the musicians and members of the general public.
The Prize:
The winning performers will receive an opportunity to perform in front of an audience at The Jazz Cellar in Walton Street (part of the Big Bang restaurant) PLUS a recording session at the SAE's Head Office recording studio in Littlemore, Oxford.

09.45 – Briefing
10.30 – Morning Competition session
12.30 – Lunch break
13.30 – Showcase performance by Blakes Heaven Big Band
14.30 – Afternoon competition session
16.30 – Break
17.00 – Judges decision
